- Final Sales: All purchases are final and we do not offer exchanges.
- Color Accuracy: Please note that color variations may occur due to differences in light fixtures, settings, and tank environments. We cannot guarantee exact color matching for WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) items.
- Acclimation and Mortality: We do not offer refunds for any losses that occur during or after the acclimation process.
- Pricing Errors: Prices are subject to change. While we strive to provide accurate pricing and product information, errors may occasionally occur. If you spot a pricing discrepancy, such as an unusually low price, please be aware that it is likely a mistake. We reserve the right to correct such errors and suspend sales of incorrectly priced items until the correct information is updated online. Thank you for your understanding.
- Coral Health: In rare cases, if a coral is not in optimal health, we will not proceed with shipping. Instead, we will offer you the option to choose a different item or receive a refund.

DOA Policy
Applicable Only to Inverts Bay Company Items Valued at $200 or Less
In the unfortunate event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), please follow these steps to ensure a smooth resolution:
1. Notification: Email us with photographic evidence of the DOA within two (2) hours of delivery confirmation from the carrier.
- A photo of the item in its original unopened shipping bag.
- A photo of the item outside of the bag.
2. Instructions: Upon receiving the photos, Inverts Bay will provide instructions on handling the DOAs. Please do not discard the DOA items until you receive further instructions.
3. Resolution: Once we confirm the DOA and photos are submitted within the 2-hour timeframe:
- We will either issue a store credit or refund the cost of the DOA livestock (shipping charges will not be refunded)
- In many cases, we can replace the DOAs with identical or similar items. In some cases we can cover shipping costs.
Inability to Replace: If we are unable to replace your DOA with a comparable item, we will credit your account for the full purchase price of the item on our website.
Failure to Notify: Failure to notify Inverts Bay Company within the 2-hour timeframe will void any guarantees. All sales are final, and no refunds are permitted for live sale orders due to discounted live-sale pricing.
Other:
- Inverts Bay Company is not liable for DOAs caused by carrier delays. No refunds for shipping charges will be provided.
