This combtooth blenny has cirri or whisker-like appendages that extend from between their eyes and are equipped with combed teeth for grazing. They will perch on the edge of coral reefs and rocks which provide a quick getaway if predators are near.
Nutrition
Primarily an herbivore, this fish has combed teeth specifically for marine algae grazing. They prefer to graze and remove filamentous algal layers and detritus from coral and rock.
